In any case, the tmp directory used by the OS and Datafari MUST be on the fastest available partition (SSD or equivalent). To change the tmp directory location in Datafari, follow this documentation:  Change tmp directory in Datafari


Case with a single machine:

  • Datafari server:
    • Opteron 4122 (4c/4t) 2.2 GHZ /
    • 32 GB RAM
    • 512 GB SSD (or equivalent)
    • 100 MB bandwidth

Case with a distributed system:

  • Datafari Main Server:
    • Opteron 4122 (4c/4t) 2.2 GHZ /
    • 16 GB RAM
    • 512 GB SSD (or equivalent)
    • 100 MB bandwidth
  • Dedicated Crawling Connectors server:
    • Opteron 4122 (4c/4t) 2.2 GHZ
    • 16 GB RAM1x2 TB
    • 512 GB SSD (or equivalent)
    • 100 MB bandwidth
  • Dedicated Analytics ELK server:
    • Opteron 4122 (4c/4t) 2.2 GHZ /
    • 8 GB RAM
    • 512 GB SSD (or equivalent)

  • Dedicated SolrCloud shard:
